Your cards & your words
CardMotion is made by Mind Map LLC. No account or sign-up is required, and the app has no ads. Cards and exported videos are created on your device. We do not upload your cards or intentionally collect the cover text or personal messages you write. When you choose to save or share a video, iOS and the app or service you select handle that action under their own policies.
Usage analytics · PostHog
We use PostHog to understand which cards people choose and where making or exporting a card becomes difficult. Events include occasion and template identifiers, editor steps, export attempts, duration, completion, the share-sheet result, and a shortened error description if an export fails. A share-sheet result is not confirmation that a recipient received or watched a video.
Events are associated with a persistent, randomly generated identifier rather than a named CardMotion account. This is pseudonymous usage data, not just aggregate counts. The SDK also sends app and device context, such as app version, operating system, device model, screen size and locale, and can record app lifecycle events. We do not enable touch-label autocapture or session replay. We do not send your card text or message as analytics properties.
The app is configured to send analytics to PostHog’s US ingestion service. Service providers necessarily process network information to receive requests. We do not use this data for cross-app advertising or sell it to advertisers or data brokers. PostHog privacy information ↗
Crash diagnostics · Sentry
We use Sentry to find and fix app failures. Reports can include error messages, stack traces, app version, operating system and device details, and breadcrumbs describing app lifecycle or system events. We do not attach card videos or messages. Console breadcrumbs are filtered out to reduce the risk of a logged personal message entering a report.
The app has Sentry’s default personal-information collection turned off and performance tracing disabled. Diagnostics are not a recording of your editing session, and not every crash or system termination produces a report. Sentry privacy information ↗
Optional tips · Apple & RevenueCat
All current cards, features and exports are free. Tips are optional consumable in-app purchases, not subscriptions. Apple handles payment. RevenueCat helps us validate and track those purchases and receives a generated app-user identifier, purchase and transaction information, and relevant app/device information. Your photo library
CardMotion uses its included artwork; it does not ask you to upload personal photos. Saving a video to Photos may require add-only permission. The app does not request permission to browse or read your photo library. You can manage its permissions in iOS Settings.
This website & your feedback
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request information such as IP address and browser details to deliver and protect the site. These pages do not embed PostHog, Sentry, advertising trackers, or third-party fonts.
If you submit the feedback form, we store your message, optional email address, submission time, IP address and browser user-agent in Cloudflare D1. The IP address is used to limit abusive submissions. Feedback helps us improve the app and respond if you provide an email.
Cloudflare emails your full message, submission time and optional email address to our business Gmail inbox, operated by Google. If you provide an email, we use it as the reply address. We also use ntfy for a notification to the maker containing up to the first 800 characters of your message and your email if supplied. To ask about your data or request deletion of feedback you submitted, use our feedback page. Include enough information to locate the submission and an email if you want a reply. Because the app has no named account, we may not be able to associate a random analytics or diagnostic identifier with you. Updates to this policy will appear here with a revised date.
